Poem - What You Need
What You Need
I could use a million words to write this poem
Every one about how great you are
Such sweet phrases that would melt your heart
And leave all eyes wet with tears
I could organise a massive flash-mob
With singing and dancing galore
Everyone would stop and stare in envy of the one who inspired
such excited glee
I could spend all my money
To buy what you desire
Everything you take a fancy to would be yours
A never-ending procession of bouquets
But I will choose to give you what you need
An ear that you can use to vent your troubles to
A hug when you are feeling low
A kiss to start the day
But mostly I will show my love
With a cup of tea and a biscuit
