Foundation

If every time I thought of you and smiled was a brick

I could build a tower that reached up into space

If every kiss we shared was stone

The palace we could build would dwarf the Taj Mahal

If our every tender moment was glass

The skyscraper would leave all others in the shade

Our passion is the mortar, our laughter the joists

The structure we have built can last forever

It is safe on the foundation of our love
